This photo means the most to me out of all of the Harley photos that my daughter and I did yesterday.

My dad and her Papa Dan - passed away on January 9th, about 2 weeks ago. He was a member of the Vietnam Vets Motorcycle club and so we did these photos in his honor.

We were having alot of fun being silly and then while I was changing my memory card, I looked up and there was my pretty little girl, looking up and off in a daze. I asked her later what she was thinking about and she said "I was thinking about Papa Dan. I miss him."

That is beautiful. A very fitting memorial. I imagine he would be immensly proud of your talent and his pretty granddaughter :)

He met her for the first time on Thanksgiving. He was struggling with his demons from his experiences in Vietnam until he met up with the motorcycle club - and he finally figured out how to heal himself enough to let us be a part of his life. He was absent from my life for 9 years - I finally got hime back and then he died a month later.

That must have been very hard for you, but I am pleased you got to spend some time with him before the end.

I imagine he was so pleased to meet his granddaughter! :)

I'd like to think he died after purging his demons, seeing you again.
